Sorber Features  

• Proprietary 3.2” thick rigid fiberglass core - provides superior sound absorption compared to acoustic foam and other fiberglass baffles.

• Velcro-receptive acoustic fabric jacket – provides another layer of sound absorption and allows Sorber baffles to attach to acrylic material or other Sorber baffles with Velcro.  

• Sewn seams – fabric jacket fully covers inner fiberglass to keep fibers contained.

The GB2448x2 is the newest addition to our Gobo line of products and was designed for maximum sound control while staying as portable as possible. Like the S2466x2 and S2444x2, it consists of two panels joined together by a fabric hinge, allowing the GB2448x2 to free-stand in a ‘V’ configuration.

The GB2448x2 stands apart, however, as it folds in half to double its thickness and increase the amount of sound absorption (cleaner mix all the way down to 60 Hz?? Yes please!). Folding also comes in handy for storage, while a built-in strap handle makes transporting easy. 

The inner fiberglass panels have been double-stuffed if you will to provide more sound absorption on one side while the Masonite sheets act as a reflective sound barrier on the other. As a result of these materials, this Gobo will reduce and direct sound more efficiently than our standard Sorber baffles.

Use them as you would any other Gobo, such as around amps and drums while recording to prevent them from spilling over to each other. Or if the mood strikes, face the Masonite side toward your amps or drums for a slightly more reflective and lively sound, why not? It's kind of like a choose-your-own adventure Gobo. 

As a stand-alone unit, GB2448x2’s are an efficient solution to recording cleaner tracks in the studio or to clean up the mix on stage. Get multiple, and adjacent GB2448x2’s can be attached together to create larger walls or room dividers using the included Velcro straps. In addition to being great for drums and guitar amps, they're well suited to be used around horn players, seated speakers, or any sound source that needs isolation and volume reduction for recording (they also work well in classroom and industrial environments).
